美国大学申请最常见的申请平台是Common App和Coalition App，大家应该都听说过。作为中心化平台，它们能让申请者集中申请多所大学。你只需要填一份申请表格，就能把它递送给所有学校。

此外，还有一些大学有自己的申请平台和系统，比如加州大学，以及一些在德州的大学。不论大家决定申请哪些学校，很可能会用到以下申请平台中的一个或多个：

什么是申请平台？

在申请大学时，学生需要用到中心化申请平台，比如Common App、Coalition App、UC Application和Apply Texas，或者是学校自己的申请系统，比如麻省理工的MyMIT。在申请平台上，学生需要填写背景信息、学习成绩、课外活动等等，然后这些材料会被提交给平台内的所有合作高校。Common App拥有900所合作高校，是最大的申请平台，但也有一部分高校不使用Common App，比如以下这些：

排在Common App之后的第二大申请平台就是Coalition App。在选校时，大家十有八九会要用到它们。

Coalition App有超过150所合作高校，而Common App有900多所。大部分Coalition App的合作学校也都支持Common App。它们之间的最大区别是，与Coalition App合作的都是大力资助贫困学生的大学。

如果不想用好几个平台申请大学，重复填写各种基本信息的话，选Common App应该是比较稳妥的。不过大家可以参考Coalition App的合作学校名单，寻找有奖学金的大学。

Coalition App的合作高校数量不算多，不过其中包括了大部分公立大学、大部分藤校、斯坦福、约翰霍普金斯大学、芝大和顶尖的文理学院，比如威廉姆斯、阿默斯特、韦尔斯利和鲍登。

最新的Common App成员

最近Common App又迎来了50多所新的合作高校。 这50个新成员中，名气最响的当属德州大学奥斯汀分校，它的工程和商科专业非常出名。德州农工大学今年也新加入了Common App。多了这50所大学，也许接下来大家用Common App的时候会更觉得方便了。

申请平台之间的区别

这些申请平台的区别在哪里呢？从本质上看，它们是一样的——学生需要填写背景信息、成绩、课外活动并提交个人陈述，让招生官更好地了解他们。它们的区别在于，有的学校只使用一个平台，除此之外，回答字数的限制、文书题目、填写的活动数量等方面也有不同要求。以下是这些平台之间的主要区别。
